Designed with outdoor entertaining and everyday relaxation in mind, this landscape transformed the property into a versatile extension of the home. The Chalet design team partnered closely with the client to create spaces that could comfortably accommodate large gatherings while also providing intimate areas for the family to unwind at the end of the day.
As a movie producer, the client wanted to incorporate a personal connection to their craft into the landscape. The result is a custom walkway inspired by 35mm film, developed through a collaborative process of renderings and onsite mockups to refine the pattern and bring the concept to life.
At the heart of the backyard, a custom outdoor kitchen sits beneath a louvered pergola, creating a functional and comfortable setting for entertaining. The pergola’s motorized louvers can be controlled via an app, allowing the space to be opened to the sun or closed to provide protection from rain.
In the front yard, a custom-designed granite millstone fountain creates a distinctive focal point, complemented by integrated lighting that brings the feature to life after dark.
